Private Air Ambulance vs Commercial Medical Escort
Two valid answers, very different costs — and the right one depends on the patient.
For many repatriations the real decision is not 'which jet?' but 'private air ambulance or commercial escort?'. Both are valid; the answer depends on clinical stability, route and budget.
Private air ambulance
Best for unstable, ventilated, or ICU-level patients. Cabin configured for one patient, full medical equipment, doctor + nurse. Higher cost; faster door-to-door.
Commercial medical escort
Best for stable patients fit to fly on a scheduled airline. Doctor or nurse accompanies the patient, usually in business class. Far lower cost; constrained by airline medical clearance and schedules.
How to decide
Get a written medical opinion based on the latest report. If commercial is clinically safe, it usually wins on cost. If there is any doubt, private wins on safety.
Tell us where the patient is. We do the rest.
