Slot

An assigned departure or arrival time issued by air traffic control or airport authorities, often required for congested airports.

Major hub airports (Heathrow, Frankfurt, Geneva, Nice, JFK) issue slot times that constrain when a flight can land or depart. Medevac flights can request priority slots based on mission status, but availability is not guaranteed.

Slot coordination is part of operational planning, especially for time-critical inbound missions.
