The named operations lead running a medevac mission from first call through to bedside handover.
A case coordinator owns three parallel workstreams: operational (aircraft, crew, permits, slots, fuel, ground ambulances), clinical (sending/receiving hospital liaison, equipment readiness) and communication (single update channel to family or insurer).
On serious cases the coordinator is awake for the mission and works in shifts on long-haul. The family or insurer always has one number to call.
