A complete patient transfer where one team handles every step from the sending hospital bed to the receiving hospital bed.
Bed-to-bed (sometimes "door-to-door") transport means the medical team takes responsibility from the patient's bed at origin, through ground ambulance to the aircraft, through the flight, and back through ground ambulance to the receiving bed.
It eliminates handover gaps — the points in a transfer where clinical information, medications or equipment are most often lost. One coordinator and one medical lead carry the patient end to end.
