The road ambulance that transfers the patient between hospital and aircraft at each end of a medevac mission.
Every aeromedical transfer is bookended by ground ambulance legs: hospital to airport at origin, airport to hospital at destination. Ground ambulance contracting is part of mission planning and quotation.
Equipment level on the ground ambulance is matched to the patient — basic life support, advanced life support, or full mobile ICU as required.
