A third-party organisation appointed by a travel or expat insurer to handle medical assistance and repatriation logistics.
Major assistance companies — Allianz Partners, International SOS, AXA Assistance, Europ Assistance — manage medical cases on behalf of insurers worldwide. They authorise treatment, coordinate hospitals and engage air ambulance providers.
When a patient calls their insurer's emergency line, they usually reach an assistance company desk. We work directly with most of them as a contracted air ambulance partner.
