In-Flight Oxygen

Supplemental oxygen delivered to a patient during flight, either via aircraft system or portable cylinders.

Dedicated air ambulances carry built-in oxygen systems sized for the mission profile, including spare capacity. On commercial flights, oxygen is supplied by the airline at flow rates set by medical clearance.

Patients on home oxygen who do not need clinical escort may still require oxygen approval and equipment for the flight.
