What Medical Equipment Is on an Air Ambulance?

A typical ICU air ambulance carries the same categories of equipment as a hospital ICU bay, scaled and certified for aviation use.
Standard kit
Transport ventilator, multi-parameter monitoring (ECG, NIBP/IBP, SpO2, EtCO2), syringe and infusion pumps, defibrillator, suction, oxygen supply.
Drug kit covering anaesthesia, analgesia, cardiac, respiratory and emergency medications.
Mission-specific add-ons
Transport incubator for neonates. Balloon-pump or ECMO console for cardiac retrieval. Isolation pod for infectious-disease transport. Paediatric-specific airway and infusion equipment.
